INSPIRATION
At Whitestone, our motto is “No Two Stones are Alike,” and this philosophy is deeply embedded in everything we create. Our inspiration for a custom candle was to embody this idea in both design and function. The design concept was rooted in nature’s unpredictable beauty and the uniqueness of every stone. This led us to create a candle that would not only be functional but serve as a thoughtful gift.
We drew inspiration from the elegance and creativity inherent in nature, from terrazzo patterns to the simplicity of cotton and sandalwood. Each aspect of the candle, from the packaging to the scent, reflects our core philosophy of individuality.
THE PLAN
Our plan was to create an immersive experience for the recipient, starting with the shipping packaging and continuing through the candle’s design. The goal was to present a product that felt personalized and intentional, ensuring every detail aligned with Whitestone’s values.
A custom sticker was placed on the bottom of each candle, directing to Whitestone’s website.
THE PRODUCT
The custom candle was meticulously crafted to resonate with our theme of individuality.
SCENT: We selected a calming scent - with nods of the blue ocean. This scent was chosen to evoke mindfulness and creativity, encouraging the user to relax and focus on their thoughts.
PACKAGING DESIGN: The candle’s packaging and design reinforce the uniqueness of the brand. The terrazzo pattern, a pattern inspired by broken pieces of pottery and stone connects the interior and exterior of the package, creating a consistent and memorable experience.
PERSONALIZED TOUCH: Each candle included a personalized notecard, designed to reflect the candle’s aesthetic and message. The notecard was carefully designed to feature elements from the candle’s imagery, our logo, and overall inspiration, making it the perfect finishing touch for a thoughtful gift.
THE RESULTS
At Whitestone, creativity is at the heart of everything we do. This custom candle is a perfect example of how we take an inspirational theme and turn it into a tangible product, showcasing the beauty of craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Through this candle, we communicate our core philosophy that “No Two Stones are Alike,” allowing each recipient to experience the uniqueness of Whitestone with every burn.
