For our first international Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, eleven members of the Whitestone team traveled to Honduras to build an AquaTower in partnership with Planet Water Foundation and tour SanMar’s vertically integrated factory. This wasn’t just a trip; it was a chance to make a tangible impact and immerse ourselves in a shared mission of sustainability, culture, and community.

To commemorate such a meaningful experience, we wanted to do more than pack the essentials. We set out to create a curated merchandise collection that reflected the spirit of the trip, blending adventure, intention, and purpose. Every piece in the kit was thoughtfully chosen to honor the communities we visited, support sustainable practices, and tell a story.

We started where all great ideas do: with a vision. Drawing from the vibrant landscapes of Honduras and the humanitarian focus on the project, a mood board helped us visualize the intersection of functionality, sustainability, and storytelling. The goal? To design a kit that embodied our commitment to people and the planet.

We prioritized products from brands that align with Whitestone’s values–B Corps, fair trade certifications, and partners committed to people and the planet. We sourced products from SanMar and like-minded suppliers, prioritizing items built with intention. Every item served a purpose, whether it was protecting us from the intense Honduran sun or creating a conversation around responsible sourcing.

The final kits were a perfect blend of practicality and sustainability, while showcasing forward-thinking design elements.

Our kit didn’t just support the team’s travels; it embodied the very heart of our mission. Each item told a story of sustainability, connection, and purpose, ensuring we carried the spirit of this experience long after the trip ended.

“Getting to design and help curate the merch for our Honduras trip was such a special part of the experience – these pieces weren’t just things we packed in our bags, they became symbols of connection, shared purpose, and a reminder of the incredible people and stories we encountered along the way – a way to carry this trip home with us.

But even more meaningful was standing outside the school beside the water tower we helped build – washing hands, cheers-ing with the kids, and drinking freshly filtered water together – kids who now have access to clean water at school each and every day. It’s a story I’m so grateful our merch could help carry forward.”
